Taking Things Seriously

Election Day is a mere week away — can you even believe it? Over at Notes from a Chair headquarters, things are feeling a bit like this:

Gahhh

But also trying to be a bit more like this:

Namaste?

While we ping-pong between those two, it’s a bit hard to put into words our anger, rage, disappointment, fear, anxiety, hope, hopelessness, nausea… and the list goes on and on. Should we start with the outright cowardice (motivated by greed) of The Washington Post‘s and The Los Angeles Times’ mega billionaire owners refusing to let their respective papers publish their endorsements of Kamala Harris? Or maybe we should start with the impossible standards VP Harris is being held to (if I hear the term word salad again I’m gonna barf), while Mr. Electoral College POTUS is congratulated for putting any collection of words together in a complete sentence (dry heaving over the word weave as I type)? Either way, perhaps the best use of our space here on our beloved blog is just to say.

VOTE.

VOTE like your life depends on it.

Because it does.

And as our patron saint of class, dignity, style, and strength, Michelle Obama, said this weekend — it’s time to take things seriously. Step up.

Till then, we leave you with this:
