Remembering Matthew Perry

As the Chair continues to work on his SNL book (he’s in the Trump era now, so please have mercy on him), the crew at Notes from a Chair would like to honor the legacy and memory of beloved Friends star Matthew Perry, who tragically passed at only 54 this weekend.

Here’s a few clips from an season 1 episode of Friends (“The One with the Blackout”) featuring an early indication of just how brilliant of a comedic actor he was.

Rest in peace, Chandler Bing. ❤️

Saturday Night Every Night

The Chair is working hard on his collaboration with the Good Doctor on his updated SNL comprehensive edition (heard of it?) so it’s another week off from the blog. What would the Chair have to say about Jim Jordan’s failed attempt at Speaker of the House (hint: lol)? What about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce taking the world by storm (good for them!)? Bad Bunny on SNL (he’s cute!)? Did he mistake Gaga for Gloria Estefan on this week’s SNL? He sure did, and has more questions than answers.

Stay tuned for more hot takes from the Chair and a podcast (we promise!). Till then, it’s Saturday Night every night.
