Our Oscar spidey senses are tingling — the nominations must be upon us (Also Across the Spiderverse is a lock, right?). Rather than take our best guesses now, the Chair will weigh in after the official nominations are announced. This year, Jack Quaid (yes, that’s Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid’s adorable offspring) and Zazie Beetz will make someone’s morning on Tuesday on all of ABC’s plethora of platforms (see the list of where to watch here).

The Chair might be off this week, but the Golden Globes are back tonight (airing on CBS of all places)! To be honest, we here at Notes from a Chair are a feeling a little like this:

It feels like going out to dinner with a bunch of friends (Hey Margot! What’s up Bradley! Love you Ryan!) and then you find out that your ex boyfriend from a decade ago is also there. It’s fine, I guess, I don’t really care, but also I wish him well, but also I’m kind of really over him and never expected to see him again?

Either way, we’re staying at the dinner for all the fashionable, interesting folks that are attending, while trying not to focus on the unfortunate elephant in the room. Worst case scenario, we’ll just stick to chatting about the newly announced season 3 cast of White Lotus.
