You can’t do an Oscars podcast without following it up with a post-mortem Oscar podcast.

Well, you could, but what fun is that?  

About as much fun as sitting front row center in a white suit as dozens of people trounce past you on their way to pick up their own piece of gold-plated Hollywood history while you’re left holding….

Ok, never mind.

The 98th Academy Awards | 2026

The 98th Academy Awards will be remembered for many things, but among them the year beloved Hollywood filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson finally got his long-deserved  Oscar(s) for his epic dramedy One Battle After Another.

After 14 nominations and no wins,  PTA won THREE in the categories of best adapted screenplay, best direction and best picture – all HIGHLY deserved in our book and at our moment in U.S. history.

Which is not to say we didn’t love Sinners. Or Sentimental Value.  Or Amy Madigan, Michael B. Jordan and Jessie Buckley’s speeches.  Or the moment that…
